Baconnaise – Bacon-Flavoured Mayonnaise!
Bacon-flavoured mayonnaise, that’s what Baconnaise is! Who would have thought it possible? I think this must have only ever crossed one person’s mind in the history of the world. Luckily for us, that one person followed it up and put it into production.
This really is something special. For me, I love bacon and I love mayonnaise so what could be better than this for slapping on your sandwiches.
In terms of ingredients, it doesn’t actually include any bacon despite the massively authentic bacon flavour. Therefore it is 100% suitable for vegetarians and it contains less calories and fat than a regular tub of mayo. For those of you are especially interested in the healthiness of this spread, it also comes in a ‘lite’ version.
Not only can it be spread all over your fried egg sandwiches, you can use it as a tasty dip for your chips or anything else you fancy stuffing. It really is a fantastic idea and it looks fairly appealing too. The regular spread looks a lot like regular mayonnaise with a darker, creamy feel to it; the lite version looks similar to pale mustard. Either way, looks fantastic. And most likely tastes as good as it looks.
Now you can have bacon sandwiches or BLT’s without the guilt of slapping a rasher of dripping, greasy bacon all over it that will drive your cholesterol through the roof. I’m definitely getting my hands on a few tubs of Baconnaise!
