Air Keyboard – Wireless Motion Control For Your Computer-HDTV Setup
December 1, 2010
What is an Air Keyboard and why do you need one for your living room? Well that’s what we thought when we first heard of it, but it does make sense as there’s been a massive trend recently of people hooking up their new HD TVs to their PCs. This has been largely due to the addition of HDMI outputs on new graphics cards and the new style mini PCs that are so compact they fit right alongside your DVD / Blu-Ray player and surround sound system.
The main problem with this kind of setup that we’ve come across at GFM HQ is that they become a lot more difficult to interact with. While you can opt for a wireless keyboard and mouse but they become a nightmare to balance on your knee and to use them properly you need your gran’s lap tray – not the coolest accessory to be seen with.
Magic Wand Remote Control – Be A Technology Wizard With This Universal TV Zapper!
November 25, 2010
We’ve all read the books or seen the films, and of course we’d all love to be able to cast magic using a wand. Well now you can get one step closer with a Magic Wand Remote Control which is designed to look and work just like a wand a la Harry Potter.
This will be a great gift for Christmas, especially after you’ve all stuffed yourselves with food and are sat down in front of the TV for the night and can barely move. Well fear not, as with just a swish of the magic wand and you’ll be channel surfing in no time. Yes, you can use your normal remote controls or even an iPhone Universal Remote Control if you wish, but where’s the fun in that?
iPhone Universal Remote Control – Stop Losing Those Channel Changers!
October 18, 2010
Sometimes the best gadgets come from combining two already existing technologies. This is deferentially the case with the iPhone Universal Remote Control.
Most well equipped front rooms now have at least 3 remote controls kicking around on the sofa. One for the TV, one for the Sky HD Box and one for the media player to name but a few. This can get a little frustrating as they can often slip down the sides of cushions, under seating or be transported into other rooms by the remote control fairies that then make them near impossible to find.
Rovio – Online Remote Controlled Home Security Robot
September 2, 2010
The Rovio is the perfect remote-controlled robot, featuring some pretty useful technology to make it a gadget you’ll get hours of fun from. Essentially, you control the robot by using a standard web browser, which can be on your PC, your laptop, your mobile phone or your games console.
The Rovio also includes a VGA camera and a microphone, allowing you to use it for a little spying around the home or office. And the best bit, when the Rovio’s batteries start to run low, it will automatically return to its docking station to charge itself up!
The Rovio robot connects to a standard Wifi router, allowing it to work without any wires whatsoever. When you first get the robot, you’ll need to configure it to talk to your wireless network by connecting it to your PC or Mac via a USB cable. However, setting up the robot only takes a few minutes. Once you’ve configured the Rovio, you’re up and running using the very simple software. The software works on all major web including Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer.

Some gadgets I see and instantly like, this little beauty is on of them. Perfect for golf lovers or haters this genius piece of engineering will make you the talk of the club house. It’s frankly Incred-a-ball and I can’t believe no one has created these before!
It is essentially a spinning gyro motor within a golf ball that can make itself roll away under its own power or violently vibrate if set off its axis. It is light and compact so will easily fit into any golfers pocket/bag and will be the source of endless amusement.
