Lego Advent Calendar 2010 – A Better Christmas Countdown!
October 12, 2010
In the immortal words of the best Christmas song, ever: I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don’t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree, I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know, make my wish come truoooo-ooo-oooo, all I want for christmaaa-aaasss, iiiiiiiiiisssss…. A Lego Advent Calendar!
Yes, the Christmas season is nearly upon us and love it or hate it, you can’t escape it. One of our office’s favourite things is the pre-crimbo daily present you get from your trusty advent calendar. Once only suitable for children they recently appear to have been adopted by, virtually everyone.
SaturatoR AK47 Aqua Fire – Rapid, High Power Water Pistol
June 15, 2010
Have you ever dreamed of owning your own AK47 and feeling the pulsing firing action as you fire it at your “friend” who has just beaten you a poker? Well the good news is now you can and no one actually has to die or go to prison thanks to the SaturatoR AK47 Aqua Fire – a rapid, high power water pistol!
This is basically a Terminator style name for an a AK-47 Aqua Fire rapid-fire water pistol modelled on the original Kalashnikov model. In water pistol terms “Rapid-fire” is normally dictated by how fast you can pump your weapon of choice. Not this time!
Laser Airzooka
July 29, 2009
What is it?
The official line is that the Laser Airzooka is “A bucket shaped, high tech, soft combat, high velocity air cannon with a laser targeting system”!?!
Put in GFM speak that means it’s a “big gun that shoots air…… accurately”. The Airzooka has been kicking around for some time now so cant exactly be called “new tech”, but it has just received a surprising facelift with the addition of a laser sighting and a change of colour. The Airzooka now comes in stealthy black and they have replaced the old flick up clear plastic sight with a class I laser target.
Nerf Havok Fire Automatic Blaster
July 25, 2009
What is it?
Have you ever found yourself dressed in a dirty white vest and army print cargo pants with camo paint on your face? Probably not. Buy the Nerf Havok Fire Automatic Blaster and you might find that this will become a regular occurrence. This is the largest Nerf gun available on the market and it is essentially a battery powered fully automatic dart firing toy gun.
Lego Millennium Falcon (Mid-Scale)
July 11, 2009
What is it?
This is a double barrelled blast of nostalgia. The Lego Mid-Scale Millennium Falcon is a piece of engineering brilliance and is cool on so many levels:
1) Its STAR WARS, enough said!
2) Its made of Lego, which is receiving a nostalgic revival at the moment as man children like us buy cool Lego sets like this!
3) It looks super cool once its built and wont take you 2 years studying for an architecture degree to finish it, unlike perhaps the full-size behemoth Lego Millennium Falcon kit you can also get.
6-in-1 Solar Robot Kit
June 19, 2009
What is it?
We will not pretend to understand the science of transforming lovely sunlight into useful electricity, but we do love it. This is especially true when it is combined with something fun like this 6 in 1 Solar Robot Kit.
As the name suggests this is a kit that allows you to build 6 different robots that are powered by that big, bright yellow, day moon (the sun). It comes with kiddie-proof instructions and if the sun is feeling a little shy, you can also run the eco friendly bots on a not so eco friendly, 50w halogen bulb. Educational toys really should not be this fun.
Lightsaber Umbrella (Star Wars)
May 13, 2009
What is it?
Being the astute persons that you are, you can probably guess that this is an umbrella. But this is like no other umbrella we have ever seen before, because this is a “Lightsaber Umbrella”.
Nerf N-Strike Wii Blaster
April 16, 2009
What is it?
If you know Nerf then you will know that they are the source of endless foam dart fun. This new Nerf product is a “pull pin to cock, pull trigger to shoot” foam dart pistol.
This is the Nerf N-Strike Wii Blaster, it comes with 3 darts and a useful instruction book that tells you not to shoot your weapon at someone face (made us laugh). It also has a second, slightly more useful use. You can remove the barrel of the gun and replace it with a Wii remote allowing you to use it with you Nintendo Wii.
Incred-A-Ball Remote Control Golf Ball
June 24, 2008
Some gadgets I see and instantly like, this little beauty is on of them. Perfect for golf lovers or haters this genius piece of engineering will make you the talk of the club house. It’s frankly Incred-a-ball and I can’t believe no one has created these before!
It is essentially a spinning gyro motor within a golf ball that can make itself roll away under its own power or violently vibrate if set off its axis. It is light and compact so will easily fit into any golfers pocket/bag and will be the source of endless amusement.
Zero Gravity Micro Remote Control Car – Drive Up Walls!
June 9, 2008
Now and again manufacturers have a genius stroke and produce something completely useless but utterly brilliant at the same time. Welcome to the wonderful world of the Zero Gravity Micro RC Car…
Yes it is a child’s toy and yes I know how old I am but I don’t care, I want one and will stomp my feet and cry till someone buys me one!!
After seeing this thing in action on a web cast I got real excited and reverted back to being 12.
